PEARL OF THE ORIENT SEAS

The Philippines is often referred to as the Orient Sea or “Perla del Mar de Oriente” of which the name became more popular when our National hero Jose Rizal wrote his last poem “Mi ultimo adios” before he died in 1896.

It was because of its well-known natural beauty and for having its rich biodiversity as its main tourist attraction. Its beaches, mountains, rain forests, islands and diving spots are the most popular tourist destinations.
