Tatay Dagsa
Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Felcon Dumat-ol Rivera (known to us as Tatay Dagsa) will tell you that he is a simple man. A book entitled "Light Bearers" once quoted him saying "...live simply that others may simply live". It is in this premise that he founded Dagsa Alternative Lifestyle Institute, with the goal of implementing and creating sustainable products, services, and processes.
In the year 2013, Felcon Dumat-ol Rivera (Tatay Dagsa) commenced his journey to enlightenment. He was accompanied by Mrs Bianchi, his green-colored two-wheeled bike, in his quest to explore the whole Philippines. In the following year, he arrived in Ilocos, where Marlon aka @flabbergast-art met him for the first time. The two of them have been coming up with all sorts of wonderful ideas since then.
In fact, Marlon is now in Bayawan, a quaint and quiet town in Negros Oriental, Philippines and the two of them have been busy these past 5 months with activities they came up with for their project with @steemph, Walk Of Hope.
As I've mentioned in my post Walk Of Hope | Free Art Sessions In Bayawan, Marlon and Tatay Dagsa will be going around the country, visiting town after town, with the aim of imparting their knowledge and experience (and maybe learn some more) about music and the arts.
If the outcome of their activities in Bayawan is any indication of what they will accomplish in their "walk", then we can say it will be a resounding success.
100% of the liquid rewards this post will generate is to support the many projects of this noble walk. I will be keeping an eye on the developments of the walk and will share updates with you from time to time. I am happy to be a part of this cause in my own little way and if this inspires you, please reach out to @immarojas for ways you can help too. You can follow @walkofhope for updates on this project.
Thanks Danda for all the support. You need to visit Bayawan and see how those two work. Or anytime and anywhere they will be in the country.
