Bahay Na Tisa: A House of Chalk and so much more
The thrill of a new discovery has always been a delightful one. Just today, my family and I discovered a gem of a place that has been sitting right under our nose.
Bahay Na Tisa sits in the heart of Malolos City but you would not easily find it because it's in a street within a street. We came by it after deciding against waiting for a table at a cafe we frequented. We've seen their tarpaulin Ad a hundred times before but today, we decided to finally check it out. Since it's Saturday, most places are packed and parking space is a struggle so it was a pleasant surprise to see their almost-empty parking lot.
The place is huge and gives off a very homey vibe. It felt like I was at my grandmama's house, where everything was old but elegant.
The interior is as impressive. I love how the place was put together. Even the minute details caught my attention.
Their menu is mainly Filipino food and everything we tried, we found delicious.
We started with cheese sticks and fries as appetizers. We really wanted to get their Chicharong Bulaklak but it wasn't available.
For our main course, we had their version of garlic rice they call Maloleña Rice, Binagoongang Baboy, and Inihaw na Liempo
We try to avoid sodas especially when we're with the kids so we got their House Blend Iced Tea, which we also loved.
I guess it's very apparent that I've fallen in love with the place. Even the kids and @steemitph agree that we've found our new favorite. We're already planning our next visit and the girls are requesting that we try the cakes next time.
If you'd like to visit Bahay Na Tisa, their address is 79 Sikatuna Street, Malolos, Bulacan.
PS: photos are mine

Seeing those mouthwatering katakamtakam, foods made me missed the pinoy dishes a lot. Thanks for sharing them. What a lovely family picture you got there!

Wow, those are all delicious ma'am especially the liempo, fried rice, lumpia, cheese stick, fries and binagoongan, hmm I think lahat na ata sinabi ko :-)
Anyway, keep them coming ma'am, I wish me and my family could visit that place on day.
But out of all the pictures, the best one is the last one. It's heartwarming to see a family going out together who are very happy especially the kids. It reminds me always to have time for my wife and daughter too.
Thank you for sharing your post. Looking forward to more posts like this :-)
Cheers.
I also like the last photo best. As I always tell @steemitph, all the nice places won't be as nice when they're not with me. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Cheers!
