in #philippines7 years ago (edited)

Saang are conch shells also known as "spider shells" or "scorpion conch" in english and is commonly found in Cebu.

Having fresh seafoods whenever you wanted is an advantage when living near the coastal shores of Cebu,Philippines.
Having blessed with marine life is a great way to sustain food and livelihood for the locals

...these are the saang we bought earlier, they cost 8-9 Pesos each when you buy them directly from the fishermans.

Saang are cebuanos favorite because it is meatier and is commonly sold in the streets of cebu.Vendors skewed the larger chunks of meat onto sticks and is best paired with vinegar with chopped onions, garlic and chilli peppers.

Saang are cooked either by grilling or by boiling it with seawater so you can easily pick the meat out or opt to use needles or pin

..when in Cebu do check out our local favorite foods
