Social Security Benefits....
Last month my dad undergone a knee surgery, and we found out that since he is a member of SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM, he can claim his benefit from being a member, so I went to the office near my son's school, and from there I found out that SSS offers different kinds of benefits for its members, though I already claimed a maternity benefits, I don't have any idea that there's a lot that a member can benefit from it.
SSS or Social Security System is a Government mandate policy to protect the private sector in counterpart of the GSIS which is an insurance for government employees,
Anyone can be a member of SSS
So today I'll be sharing with you guys about the process for the Sickness Benefit
--You should be an Active Member with atleast 3 monthly contribution for the past 12 months
--Either you got hospitalized or just home confinement
--filled out Sickness Benefit Application Form
--ECG, XRAY, CT SCAN, MRI or any of your diagnostics related to the sickness
--if you are already a voluntary member but previously working, you will be asked to present a Certification of Separation from your previous company.
If it is home confinement only you need to file the sickness benefit 5 days from the date of your check up,
A representative can file the claim but with an authorization letter from the member, On my dad's case I am the one who filed it...
Our Government has a lot of benefit that we can avail, we just have to know them.
