GIS Mapping of Nipa Palms in Oriental Mindoro (Introductory part)

Good day Steemians, an awesome project just approached to be done. It is the Geographical Information System or GIS mapping of the Nipa palms specifically in the island of Mindoro on the Oriental part. It was introduced to me by Mr. Lope Santos, PhD. to map the Nipa palms, determine the population and the number of matured and fruiting palms as well. Since there are no records or map that determines these type of forest I accepted the call to map this specie.

It is called Nypa fruiticans and it grows in the swamps and marshland of the Philippines. Follow me as I dig into discovering the areas of this species and uncover to you the potentials of this tree.
