The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII to win their first Vince Lombardi Trophy in team history. Just let that sink in, Eagles fans. This win could not have come any other way as the Eagles closed out their underdog season in the best way possible. Throughout all the adversity and challenges that the Eagles went through this year, it all culminated in a memorable Super Bowl title, with Doug Pederson leading the way. The Philadelphia Eagles truly proved all of the doubters wrong by defeating Brady, Belichick and the Patriots dynasty. The Birds got their revenge from Super Bowl XXXIX as they finally dethroned the Patriots in a thrilling, entertaining contest. The Eagles and Patriots combined for a record 1,151 total yards which is the most ever in a Super Bowl. The Eagles finally finished as the top dogs or World Champions of football. This could potentially be the beginning of an Eagles dynasty for years to come, led by Doug Pederson and our franchise QB, Carson Wentz.

The Eagles front office involving Howie Roseman and Jeffrey Lurie did a tremendous job when they brought in some key acquisitions this offseason, as those big additions included Nick Foles, Alshon Jeffery, LeGarrette Blount, and Corey Clement. Another big midseason acquisition was Jay Ajayi, whom the Eagles acquired in a trade on October 31, 2017 as he contributed 57 rushing yards. Foles, Jeffery, Blount, and Clement all played a great game and key roles in this game as they combined for six total touchdowns where three of those came from Nick Foles. Blount bulldozed his way to 90 rushing yards in his third Super Bowl victory. Undrafted rookie Corey Clement played the best game of his life as he earned a team high 100 receiving yards and one tremendous touchdown catch that proved to be crucial. Alshon Jeffery also played a phenomenal game as he gained 73 yards and one incredible touchdown catch along with clutch catches on the way to a big victory. Foles deservedly won Super Bowl LII MVP as he threw for 373 yards, three touchdowns as well as a receiving touchdown. His receiving touchdown thrown by Trey Burton was a crucial play in the game as the Eagles went up 22-12 before halftime on the fourth down trick play, which was called the "Philly Special." Foles became the first QB to throw and catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl, which is incredible. This victory was a true underdog story that was headed by our backup QB, Nick Foles, who was doubted throughout the 2018 postseason.

Doug Pederson earns so much credit for this big win as he devised the perfect scheme in order to take down the Patriots. His play-calling was tremendous all throughout the game as he called pass plays that played in to Foles' strengths. Coach Pederson formed the best possible system for Foles to thrive and succeed in the playoffs as he was a prominent reason for the Birds Super Bowl title. Despite all the key injuries and obstacles they faced all season long, the coaching staff along with Pederson did a phenomenal job in leading the Eagles to their first Super Bowl title. Zach Ertz's huge late go-ahead touchdown to lead 38-33 at the time proved vital in the game as it ended up being the game-winning touchdown in the Eagles victory. Jim Schwartz's defensive unit came up with the biggest defensive play of the game late, when Brandon Graham strip-sacked Tom Brady as Derek Barnett recovered the ball with 2:16 left in the 4th. This was a crucial play that put the Eagles in a prime position to win as they extended their lead to 41-33 on Jake Elliott's 46 yard field goal. The Eagles fought and battled through the entirety of the game as they earned the Lombardi Trophy for both the city of Philadelphia and the prideful, passionate fans.

Eagles fans can now rejoice as the city of Philadelphia has waited 57 years for a championship, which is the third longest drought in the NFL, all through pain and suffering. Some players or key contributors that deserve a lot of credit for ultimately putting the Eagles in this position include Carson Wentz, Jason Peters, Jordan Hicks, Darren Sproles, Caleb Sturgis, Joe Walker, and Chris Maragos. These players season's were shortened due to injury as they were downgraded to the IR, for the majority of the season. Wentz led the Eagles to an 11-2 start while proving that he was a true leader of the team. Wentz threw for 3,296 yards and 33 touchdowns before going down with a torn ACL in week 13. From that point on, the Philadelphia Eagles rallied around each other and created an unbreakable bond that ultimately led to a well deserved Super Bowl championship. A billboard sign on I-95 describes this unbelievable Eagles story as it reads "From Wentz We Came, In Foles We Trust. #GoBirds" The Eagles truly fulfilled their roles and responsibilities throughout the season as they defied all the odds while facing adversity and played an outstanding game in the Super Bowl. The confidence and unity of this special Eagles team helped guide them to the title as all Birds fans will remember this Super Bowl victory and who they watched it with. As Malcolm Jenkins said in the pregame huddle throughout the season, "We All We Got, We All We Need," this truly epitomized the resiliency and togetherness of the Eagles as they strengthened their chemistry during the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles front office and players provided a memorable 2017-18 season journey in which all Eagles fans will cherish for the rest of their lives. This team embraced the role of the underdog throughout their electric playoff run that ultimately culminated in a victory for the ages. The amazing Super Bowl victory certainly has a positive effect on many important or influential Eagles fans and former players such as the Hall of Fame member Brian Dawkins, Ron Jaworski, Jon Dorenbos, Merrill Reese, and Ray Didinger whom have waited so long for an Eagles championship. Jeffrey Lurie announced that he will be giving a Super Bowl ring to John Dorenbos who served as the Eagles long snapper for 10 seasons as he recently retired prior to this season. This was truly the game of a lifetime for all the countless Eagles fans as they watched the successes and accomplishments of our Birds all season long. The comradery of this year's team formed a really special group of players who ultimately won the championship and proved that they could get the job done for the City of Brotherly Love.

This spectacular Eagles team won it for the glory or memory of Lukas Kusters known as the Dutch Destroyer, Jerome Brown, 99 year old super fan Phil Basser and all the other countless die-hard Eagles fans who have waited many years for a deserved championship title. Brent Celek finally won his long awaited championship, serving as the longest tenured Eagle player. He did a phenomenal job for the team in run/pass blocking all season long. This Eagles team gelled and worked very well together as a unit all throughout the season as they ultimately won a well deserved championship for themselves and the city of Philadelphia. In saying this, all Philadelphia Eagles fans will bask in the glory of our first Super Bowl title and celebrate this memorable victory in the most supreme ways possible. Eagles fans can feel assured that the upcoming parade that runs through Broad Street on Thursday will be a parade for the ages with the best football fans all in the midst of it. I, along with my family and friends, especially my Dad, will always remember this awesome Super Bowl win as our beloved Birds finally hoisted the Lombardi Trophy. For the last and final time this season, Fly Eagles Fly!
