This news seems to be true with the decrease in temperature in some cities of Indonesia, such as Bandung and Semarang.

According to him, this very cold conditions impact air temperature can reach zero degrees Celcius which can cause moisture or frost to become frozen. Javanese people familiar with the term Bediding season, namely a significant change in temperature early in the dry season.

The direct result of the air temperature changes is the emergence of ice dew phenomenon in Dieng, known to the public as Bun upas or dew poison because it adversely affects vegetable farmers in Dieng.

Related to the phenomenon of Aphelion, Deputy of Meteorology, Mulyono R Prabowo stated that the decline in temperature in July is more dominant because in the last few days, in Indonesia, especially Java, Bali, NTB and NTT, the vapor content in the atmosphere is quite small. This can be seen from the cloud cover that is not significant during the last few days. Physically, water vapor and water are substances that are quite effective in storing heat energy.

This low vapor content in the atmosphere causes the radiation energy released by the Earth into space at night not stored in the atmosphere and the energy used to increase atmospheric temperature in the atmosphere of layers near the Earth's surface is insignificant.
"This is what causes the air temperature in Indonesia during the night in the dry season is relatively lower than during the rainy season or the transition," he said.

According to him, this condition is in contrast to the conditions during the rainy season or the transition in which the moisture content in the atmosphere is quite a lot, so the atmosphere becomes a kind of "hot reservoir" at night. Based on BMKG observations throughout Indonesia for 1 to 5 July 2018, temperatures of less than 15 degrees Celsius were recorded in some areas. All of them are in the highlands or the foot of the mountain like Frans Sales Lega (NTT), Wamena (Papua), and Tretes (Pasuruan).
