You truly are a pharmacology student my friend, i know the basics about pharmacology, i'm a vet student.
You used the tag pharmacology, maybe together we can bring some good content to the tag, i'm going to start using it too

A Vet student? That's pretty cool!
Definitely! Let's tear up that tag! People need a good source of information. Thanks for your comment.

I followed you, might be helpful the next time i'm studying for a exam to come here and see what a pharmacology student has to say xD

I just posted something about antibiotics and as soon as i posted it i see this post ahahah, check out my post too, i still haven't read yours, but i sure will

That figures!!!! Haha

I believe my pituitary gland is being effected by my neck and dura mater. No pill ive had gives me relief like a xanax (just recently discovered). Most meds agitate my pain. Ive taken gaba supplements w no effect. Ive mainly been using alcohol for relief but also has an inflammatory response. I know xanax can be a muscle relaxer but also have read it can curve nerve pain. Imo neck damage around c2 causing all kinds of havoc. Thanks for the write.

Thank you! Benzodiazepines definitely have their place in Medicine. They are very beneficial to people who actually need them. Other Gaba receptor supplements(as in anti-anxienty and non-benzo antidepressants) are usually for chemical imbalances, that's probably why they didn't help the physical damage done. I'm actually about to release a post of all the different types of Benzodiazepines. Check it out too. Thanks for your comment @weirdheadaches!

:)! Will do. Still not sure if what i have is nerve pain but what would be a good test? Thnx buddy

Great info! I was once prescribed diazepam, but returned it without taking any the next day. I have suspect glaucoma and bipolar depression with a history of suicide attempt by o.d. plus I read that benzos are so addictive, they use benzos to get you off of benzos. Friends have shared tales of horror getting addicted to them and coming off of them. Sheer hell, they said. The more we know about pharmaceuticals the better!

Thanks! Yeah, Benzodiazepines are highly addictive. Its a contraindication for people with Glaucoma, due to increased ocular pressure. For bipolar they would prescribe an anticonvulsant.

The best way to get off of Benzos is to taper off, cut your doses back gradually, and wean yourself off. It is one of the most dangerous withdraws to go through. I'll be elaborating on the types of Benzos shortly.

Thanks for your comment @creationofcare!
