Why We NEED PewDiePie
Humor is a social tool that allows a culture to recognize the edges of its morality and ethical code. If humorists (comedians, actors) are not permitted to push and even overstep boundaries, and are instead slandered, punished, and taken out of context, then the areas that define acceptable and unacceptable social interactions become blurry and increasingly transparent.
We NEED PewDiePie right now because he is increasingly representing this social phenomenon, and if we don't have his back we risk devolving our culture into a humorless shell of its former self.
