Yes, Sometimes I Do Watch Pewdiepie Videos - And This One, You Should Watch too

Normally, I watch his videos to switch off my brain. He's decently funny and he's not doing system-critical content, but delivers light surrealist stuff on a regular base.

And I guess to everyones surprise, he didn't develop into a commercial direction and dive into cocaine and superficiality. Instead, every time he had to make a creative or professional decision in the past years, he chose to go the opposite direction of what you would expect.

That was when he hit a creative wall and decided to only do what he likes instead of pondering to the audience and stop having fun. He also had a little fight with some Mainstream outlets over his income where he literally ended up showing them his middle finger. Then there was this "death to all Jews" joke that went bad, and not too long ago he said Nigger during while live streaming him playing an ego shooter game.

He decided to give a f*ck and I think that was not just the right thing to do, but also very audacious. His "street credibility" grew significantly and he doesn't even seem arrogant or pretends to be someone else than he is privately. Even, if you don't like his style, he deserves respect for that, I think.

On top, he still has a massive output, but he does most of his videos right. And sometimes, he even goes far beyond his daily 10 minutes of BS and then he suddenly shows depth and intellect. He's just him and that is for itself quite impressive for such a young a millionaire who has 60+ million subscribers.

The only thing missing is him coming to Steemit/DTube. But I think that will take some more time (and YT screw-ups) until it happens.
