Should pet be Allowed in Classrooms?

in #pets7 years ago (edited)

I think pets are good in classrooms. They help kids learn responsibility. They help with stress. Having pets in classrooms help build empathy within students. Letting pets be in classrooms is good way for kids to do great in school.

Pets can help kids learn responsibility. Kids learn responsibility when they feed/water the pet. A child that cares for a pet knows that what he does matters so he’ll want to do more of it. All too often both children and adults alike desire to have pets, and with pets the pet they learn responsibility. When kids learn responsibility they will be more careful in class.

Pets help reduce stress. Students with a live animal with them during a read aloud test have really low stress levels. When a pet is petted a stress relief hormone is released which helps kids with stress during tests. If a kid has low stress levels they would do better on their tests.

Having pets in classrooms help build empathy within students. Building empathy will enhance the desire to be a responsible pet owner and treat animals with respect understand their needs and meet those needs. Empathy gives kids the ability to feel what others feel whether it's a pet or another student. Building empathy will help student help other students.

In conclusion having pets in classrooms help with responsibility, stress and, building empathy. I encourage you to support having pets in classrooms.
