HI steemians, In Today´s post, I´m going to explain you how and when you have to vaccine your Dog.

Vaccination, it is a very important medical act and it is the only way to prevent some mortal diseases.
It is very important to keep vaccines up to date, not only when your dog is a puppy, also when he is adult and especially when he is senior.
We have to understand, that the inmunitary system is weak when they are very young, and very old too.

Also, It is very important that our dog has been dewormed previously (you could read my latest post in English about internal and external desparasitation clicking in that blue words).
The first vaccine we should give to our puppy, is at six weeks old, if he has been correctly breastfed. It is important that puppies have drunk colostrum, (that is the first milk that made the mammary glands, and it is very rich in antibodies which prevent illness, the first weeks of live. This antibodies start to disappear before 6 weeks of live)
If your dog didn´t drink colostrum you should vaccine him at 4 weeks.

Your veterinarian, will vaccine your pet every three weeks until it has 16 weeks, that is the primary vaccination.

The main diseases that dogs usually are vaccinated in my country are: parvovirosis, distemper, viral hepatitis, lepstospirosis, tracheobonchitis and rabie.
In Spain, we also vaccinate leishmaniasis, when dogs are 6 months old.
There are some vaccines that we only use in special situations (breeders, canine day care…)
It is possible, that in your country could be different diseases that in mine are, so you have to ask your veterinarian what vaccines need your dog.
