Transitions between historical eras are often marked by seemingly trivial events which mark the passage from one era into another and are only understood, as such, in retrospect.
Today's announcement via Twitter by President Trump heralding the end of the Petro-Dollar standard is an exception to this rule.
The Petro-Dollar standard is dying because the US can no longer enforce militarily the Petro-Dollr standard .
