A Dear with a deer

This is my maternal grandmother back in 1946. I was born eight years later. This was a pet deer that wandered into her yard one day and stayed.
As a grandmother myself now, I am always amazed at how different grandmothers looked back then. Life in simpler times was harder and grandmothers aged differently in a time when quick trips to the day spa were unimaginable. My grandmother had some mental health issues but this deer seems to recognize the softer side of grandma's heart.
