PinkFlowerDay - The contests of @Petals!

Featuring my abstract rendition of a Gladiolus flower.

I love the way the sunlight hits the petals and gives it that incredible shimmering effect. Plus, the splash of pink against the black background is such a gorgeous contrast. This photo was taken last year with my Canon DLSR.

I ordered some more of these corms just this week, as they were left in the ground when I moved recently. I'm hoping that if they're kept close enough to the house, the deer will ignore them (fingers crossed so hard!).
