Petals Contest - Roses Open Weekend - Orange Plus
Orange Rose with Extras
Be sure to click on the image to view it full screen!
Not only do you get a beautiful orange rose with a hint of pink but you get a greenfly and some water droplets thrown in for free. 😁
You might need to view it full screen to see the extras though!
Thank you to @adrianobalan and @sardrt for creating the #petals community and contests.

The rose is very pretty. I like all the colors in combination. I think you're way too generous with the green fly and the water petals, though. Not sure we deserve all of that after the very nice rose.
Okay, I'm just kidding. I had to look at the larger version of the flower to even locate them, as you said. Still they add a touch of life and action to the picture, so I'd say they're very good additions. :)
I've found that a lot of my photographs look better in the larger version but I suspect that many people don't click on them. I'm probably the same when I'm looking at other people's unless I'm specifically looking for something.
Glad you were able to find the green fly and water drops. Personally I would prefer it would the green fly. They are not my friend.
We have a climbing rose at the front of the house that gets infested with them which attracts ants who leave their sticky residue all over it.
This year it's also got loads of tiny little green caterpillars on it too. It's actually growing in a pot but is probably getting on for twenty feet tall.
With all those pesky insects having a go at it I'm surprised it's still alive. It's obviously a real survivor. 😊
Insects are not my friend either. There's all kinds of them battling for dominance all the time. Normally, they're not battling with me, but they seem to infest the grass and the plants and the trees around here without consulting any of us. How rude! I guess there's supposed to be beneficial bugs, too, but they don't seem to proliferate nearly as much as the ones which destroy, and not one bug spray kills all of them, so then you're doing who knows what to your and the space around you. It's like we've invaded their spot or something.
Well it is also a masterpiece! I can almost smell her scent. :)
😁 Thank you @madlenfox!
@gillianpearce, how do I learn to do this: - "Be sure to click on the image to view it full screen!"
Sorry @madlenfox. I seemed to have missed your question. Better late than never! 😁
To do the photo bit:
Add a square bracket before the ! in the image code and after the ). Then copy and paste the bit between brackets.
So this is what it would usually look like:
![name of image here](URL of image here)
This is what it looks like to make it clickable:
[![name of image here](URL of image here)](URL of image here)
Hope that makes sense! 😊
Thank you, @gillianpearce ! 😊 It worked for me. It was too easy :)
Very nice rose. I really like rose varieties with two colors. Almost three if you count the white transition between the orange and pink ;)
Thank you @steven-patrick. I like the roses with a hint of . . . too. 😊
