PetSafe ScoopFree Self Cleaning Litter Box Review
Wondering if the PetSafe ScoopFree tone- drawing waste box could be the accessible waste box result you ’ve been staying for?
After testing this waste box for over a month, we ’re participating our studies on this waste box’s performance and whether or not it’s a good choice.
This automatic waste box combines the violent adsorbency of silica gel waste with a simple combing medium to, well, free you from the chore of scooping.
The waste stays dry for over to a month, while the automatic scooping system keeps solid waste locked down in a separate cube. By seeing your cat’s presence in the waste box and automatically transferring a rake across the charger, the waste box stays clean on its own.
Then’s My Experience Using The Petsafe Scoopfree Self- drawing Litter Box
I ordered the PetSafe ScoopFree original box — the base model, which does n’t include any flashy bells and hisses like a hood, use counter, or malleable detention timekeepers — and had it packed to my house. Once it had arrived, it was time to set effects up and get started.

First, I Assembled The Litter Box
. The ScoopFree waste box comes packed with everything you need to get started.
I pulled out the main plastic body of the waste box, which forms the sides of the box and includes its automatic combing medium, the AC appendage and 10- bottom power string, a cardboard waste charger, and a bag of silica gel demitasse waste.
The Assembly Is Easy To Put Together
The first step is putting the waste into the cardboard charger. You ’ll place the lid underneath the charger, making it more robust and stable, also open up the bag of waste and pour it in.
The cardboard charger is equipped with a waste trap, which is where solid waste gets locked down after the rake moves across the waste bed. When I added waste to the box, I also put a small quantum in the waste trap to help keep effects dry and exclude odors.
Once you ’re done adding waste, you ’ll place the combing medium over the charger. Attractions under the grandiloquent waste trap door attach to the cardboard delirium, allowing the section to lift up when the unit is in action.
Once The Litter Box Was Assembled, It Was Time To Start Using It
The waste box worked easily and, for the couple of months that I ’ve been using it, has n’t jammed or conked formerly.
Again, the ScoopFree uses a cat detector to descry the presence of a cat in the box. After a 20- nanosecond detention, the rake starts humming its way across the waste bed, distributing urine and broad coprolite into the waste trap.
Still, the box will reset for another 20- nanosecond detention, helping to keep your cat safe, If your catre-enters the box during the detention period.
With so numerous other automatic waste boxes noisy and jam-prone, the ScoopFree is refreshingly quiet and harmonious. Each cycle takes just over a nanosecond and does n’t make a lot of noise.
Away from a quiet thrum as it runs, the ScoopFree clunks a little bit as the waste trap opens and closes, but that noise is nearlyimperceptible.Between the lack of conservation and minimum noise, I nearly forgot that the ScoopFree was running in the house at all.
How Well Does It Control Odors And How Long Does It Last?
Because the ScoopFree waste box uses silica gel waste, it’s good at dehydrating both feces and urine. The waste trap did an excellent job of holding fecal odor, but the combing medium did n’t catch every little flyspeck.
Fortunately, silica gel waste holds odor relatively well and fecal odors were n’t an issue for the bulk of the testing period.
But unfortunately, ScoopFree waste reaches its achromatism threshold — and starts stinking — a lot sooner than the box suggests.
The waste box stayed dry for between a week and 9 days between my two pussycats — it clearly did n’t make it to the 10-15 days promised by PetSafe. By the one-week mark, the waste started smelling rank and, after 9 days, I noticed some achromatism on the bottom of the charger.
Throwing the waste down was easy. I lifted the combing unit off the charger, precisely moved the bottom charger out from under, and placed it over the top.

What Does The Tracking And Smatter Situation Look Like?
The fairly large grains of waste feel to repel shadowing and the smatter situation was extremely good. I suppose this was my favorite thing about the ScoopFree box.
Compared to other waste boxes, including theultra-expensive Waste-Robot III, this box did an incredibly good job of keeping waste contained. I infrequently had to sweep around the waste box and the area sounded cleaner than ever ahead.
What Did The Pussycats Suppose?
My pussycats had no problems using the box, taking to it right down. I do n’t suppose they had an issue with the waste, though it's on the coarser side and might irritate some pussycat.
They also sounded comfortable with the size of the box, although technically, it’s not a ton of space for a cat. The waste box has a big footmark, measuring 27” x 19” x 7”, but it does n’t have a large usable waste face area. The section your cat uses measures 14” x 14”, so it’s significantly lower than I ’d recommend for utmost pussycats.
It’s also important to note that the waste charger is enough shallow and your cat does n’t have a lot of room to dig, so this might not be the most satisfying choice for pussycats who like to go deep in their waste box.
How Important Does The Scoopfree Litter Box Cost?
Still, like I did, your outspoken cost will be between$ 99, If you choose the original interpretation.95 — if you act presto and catch it on trade — and$149.99. Click to Know More and Buy: https://amzn.to/3JozZEV
Still, which features a hood, a health counter, If you upgrade to the ScoopFree Ultra.99. There’s also a top- entry interpretation of the ScoopFree Ultra available at the same price.
While the ScoopFree waste box costs further than your typical waste box outspoken, that’s not really the place where it’s going to bring you a lot of plutocrat.
Rather, the expenditure of the ScoopFree waste box lies in the relief wastetrays. However, relief servers could look enough precious over time, If you ’re habituated to lower- cost complexion waste.
Still, thepre-filled disposable waste servers bring about$ 15 per month for one cat, If you can get 30 days out of each charger. Really, however, you ’re presumably going to replace the charger formerly every 20 days, bringing your yearly cost-per- cat closer to$ 20. Still, your expenditure could go all the way up to$ 60 per month, If you have two wet-fed pussycats like I do and find yourself changing the waste 4 times a month.
Still, you might want to invest$ 50 in ScoopFree’s plastic applicable charger rather of using thepre-filled disposable bones, which could cut your yearly costs down by as important as$ 6 per cat, If that sounds precious to you.
Overall, Is The Petsafe Scoopfree Self-Cleaning Litter Box Worth It?
.The PetSafe ScoopFree automatic waste box is one of the most dependable automatic waste boxes you can buy.
It does a great job of combining the low- conservation adsorption power of silica gel with a combing medium to give you a simple, hands-off waste cleaning result. The waste itself is low- dust, offers good odor control, and does n’t stick to cat’s paws.
But between the further frequent charger changes and increased price, I ’m not sure that the PetSafe ScoopFree is worth it for homes with two or further pussycats. Multi-cat homes may want to conclude for the Litter Robot or another dependable tone- drawing box.
