Why do kids ask why?

Why do we stop asking so many questions like we did when we were younger? Why do we let so many people rob our joy and passions and creativity? Who was the ape money pet Curious George? I had this stuff animal as a kid in the 1990's in Oregon, USA. I love cartoons like this and also Arthur and Wishbone and others from PBS.
