Missing Lucia
On the day that we brought you home, the breeder placed you in a cardboard box, then said his quick goodbyes to you. You did not cry or complain. You willingly went home with us. You were very quiet in the car, and almost did not move in the whole 2 hours of travel.
It took two days before you started playing with us and not trembling in our presence. The breeder didn't warn us that your breed sheds a lot. You shed so much hair on your first month with us that I thought to myself, "did we make the right choice for a pet?".
I found the answer to that question. Yes, you were the perfect choice. Your sweetness, your playfulness, and your admirable appetite makes you truly unforgettable. Your cuteness surpassed the gazillions of hair that you shed every quarter. Each time that we left you at a dog hotel, you got sick so bad that we thought we'd lose you. You never liked being away from your family.
I would peel a banana and you'll be up in my face ready to devour it. I would lay out my yoga mat and you'd be the first to lay on it. I would lie down on the couch and you'd stay beside me for as long as I'm there. You'd patiently wait for every member of the family to come home.
But, we had to let you go. It was hard. We tried our best to keep you in our new village, but circumstances wouldn't allow it. We found you a new home; a new daddy who would love you and care for you as much as we do. When he came to take you home with him, you did not cry, you did not complain. I guess, we chose the right person. Maybe that, or you knew that we had to let you go, and you understood.
We still say goodnight to you after our prayers at night. Can you hear us from where you are?
Please make your new family happy the same way you made us happy. Please don't get sick. Please live long. And as Mama Jan always says, be a good girl, Lucia. Missing you terribly.
Your second baby... Hehehe...

Oh that's really a very hard desicion, but why can't Lucia stay if I may ask so? She after all sounds like the ideal dog to have around ...
