Salineras de Maras in Peru
The Salineras of Maras are located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 40km north of Cuzco. There are thousands of salt pools and each is owned and mined by a local family of the Maras Community. It is one of the four places in the world where pink salt is extracted.
A process that has been practiced for more than 500 years can be viewed at the Maras Salt Mines in Peru.

(nevím jak jinde, tak jen pro jistotu dodám, že u nás ve Slezsku to slovo v podobném kontextu nemá obvyklou negativní konotaci ;)
