I didn't earn a regular paycheck until I was in my mid 30s. < I approve of this haha.

I'd heard that cash thing before! I actually think that works and I'm glad you mentioned that because I think that plays into why I was able to live in Spain so cheaply.

I literally had a stack of 400 Euros cash in my drawer and that's all I had to spend for the month!

    Yep, and once it's gone, it's gone! I remember literally counting pesos on the bus in Mexico, wondering if I had enough to get home :)
