Kosovo Karate National Team banned from entering Serbia

Serbian authorities have on Wednesday banned the Kosovo Karate National team from entering Serbia preventing it from taking part in the European Karate Championship which will be held in Novi Sad on May 10- 13.
Kosovo Karate Team made two attempts on Wednesday to enter Serbia territory at the border crossing of Merdare but they were stopped by Serbian police at the border. The Karate Federation issued a press release announcing that the Serbian police told them that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has banned their entrance in Serbia. Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj condemned the decision of the Belgrade authorities as an unacceptable act "that does not contribute to the normalisation of relations between our two states.
