An Explorer Left His Camera Behind And Two Antarctica Penguins Pose And Take Selfies

in #penguins6 years ago

Explorer Eddie Gault is the thrill seeker who left behind his camera in a penguin rookery where two emperor penguins were nosy enough to get up close.

Not only are they already dressed for most occasions, they are the largest of 17 different penguin species, standing at 45 inches tall.

Emperor penguins can handle blizzards of up to 124 mph and can hold up well against wind chills as cold as -76F. In order survive through such harsh weather they are equipped with 4 layers of scale like feathers. They are able to even recycle their own heat because their veins and arteries are so close together.

Very interesting creatures...

Eddie Gault, an Australian Antarctic expeditioner was able to catch the two exploring their find and nodding in approval or disapproval.

It looks good to see these things. Whenever they come in the way of the seven rows, they feel best. Thank you for the nice penguin that you gave me this post.

They were probably curious if it were an egg or a chick. They will fight over orphans. The parenting instinct is so strong in this rugged bird. An amazing animal.

You write good information about penguins. I like. Thanks @joseph

Lol.... They're quite cute.

I saw the video of them taking the selfie, it was pretty hilarious

Great picture! I like it :)
