PegasCoin Analysis ($PGC)

The following is not financial advice.

Welcome to back The Scoop!

This is the next post at a place where we share analysis and opinions for interesting coins, tokens and pure gems in the vast landscape of the blockchain world. There's so many coins out there, but not a lot of free information (looking at you, paid groups) and analysis on them. The Scoop aims to change that by sharing and improving the data available for a given coin.

So let's begin!

What is PegasCoin?

PGC is an Ethereum fork launched mid/end 2017 that checks a lot of boxes for investors, such as cheap entry, deposit/interest system and generally having their stuff together. They do bounties from time to time and have quite an active team. They want to be known as a "platform is P2P transaction around the world", so have a focus on the network and services provided on it.

But the main draw for PGC is it's DOB feature, where you can deposit coins for a set period of time (1-6 months) and receive interest at the end of the period as a share of the miner's rewards.

How many of them are they?

The supply is unlimited, which is always a bit of a wild card, but of course it grows over time. No premine, which is always nice for investors (but not so great for devs, unless launch is executed perfectly).

Circulating supply today is ~8.9m, which is quite nice.

It also says that the remaining undistributed tokens will be given to their charity foundation, which is nice.

Who's the team?

The team is unknown, but seems to be of Russian origin like many other coins. But we've yet to see full profiles on the team available.

They do have Discord where one can find out more:

How is PGC different?

It should be a fairer start than usual due to the no premine and it's DOB service has created a lot of buzz in the community. Time will tell, but it has attributes of a gem that if the team is committed to success, could deliver some interesting future projects in addition to DOB.

Also, it's also not even listed on CMC yet, so that's one signal that it's early for this coin.

Pros

  • unique tech
  • no premine
  • active devs
  • working product
  • early signals

Cons

  • future direction
  • visibility of team
  • relatively unknown project

Where is it traded?

Currently the volume is over a new kid on the block, Stocks.Exchange:

The Final

Based on the FA, PGC looks like a medium risk with high reward potential if people see the value in the DOB service and fair launch. Picking it up under 200 sats would be bargain or around 10 cents would be an upper entry while still expecting solid gains.

And that's your scoop!

Remember, absolutely NOTHING you read on this blog, twitter or otherwise content anywhere on the Internet by the authors is financial advice, so DYOR and be responsible!
One more time in case you didn't see the first two: this is NOT financial advice! Also, The Scoop authors may hold coins discussed here which may creates some bias, but we try to be fair.
