Possible 'Finders' Situation: The "Garroting and Rape" of Two Teenage Girls - Day 187 - A Webb Companion

The murder of two young teenagers in Indiana has drawn George Webb's attention.

Friends, Abigail Williams and Liberty German, went missing February 13th and 14th, 2017. Their bodies were later found in an isolated wooded area near Delphi, Indiana.

Day 187.6

George speculates that the killings have all the signs of a 'finders' situation and cover-up making some comparisons to the Shannon Gilbert case and the Long Island murders.
Gilbert was a Craigslist escort whose body was discovered at Gilbo Beach, where the bodies of ten more victims had been discovered.

Day 187.8

George Summarizes:

No public reconstruction of the crime
No release of forensic information
No autopsy information (poisoning, torture, rape kit)
No time of death
No description of the wounds (strangled, stabbed, shot, etc.)
Parents of children speak out 2 months after the murders (suggests police want to maintain control of investigation)
FBI and police have received 100,000 tips
The FBI have released an image of a suspect (Webb believes that there are 3-4 involved in the murders)

Using what little information is available, Webb attempts to reconstruct the last moments of the two victims.

Day 187.9 Update

In this video, George confirms that he has spoken to friends of the family and claims that the two girls were indeed strangled. One of the girls was (almost) decapitated resulting from strangulation (likely by garrote) and he said that the girls were raped.
He also said he was told of dismemberment of the bodies. George speculates that the Liberty may have lost her fingers in the second garroting trying to fend off the strangulation. Furthermore, Webb claims that there were two sets of DNA discovered in the investigation leading him to speculate that there were multiple attackers.

Garroting

A double garroting murder method is used for stealth and silent kills. It's used to immobilize the victim on the first 'wrap' and with a second 'wrap' allows for a silent choking and strangulation.

An independent autopsy into Shannon Gilbert's death contradicts the initial State findings that the victim died of 'unknown' causes.

Baden's report said that Gilbert's hyoid bone (sic) was broken at the end of its 'horns' and that her larnyx was missing, all of which indicates death by strangling.

There were at least 11 victims discovered in the "Long Island Serial Killer" investigation at Gilbo beach. There are reports that some of the other victims were also escorts who had died from strangulation.

Each had been strangled elsewhere, wedged into burlap and dumped amid thick scrub just off the sand-swept causeway on the inlet side of Gilgo in the town of Babylon.

Six more bodies, or parts of bodies, were discovered over the next year in different areas of Suffolk and Nassau counties. Some victims had been hacked up, their limbs scattered across remote sections of Gilgo, Oak Beach and elsewhere.

Another famous use of garroting is the JonBenet Ramsey murder. The investigation and the autopsy into her death show that a garrote was used to strangle JonBenet and she also had a fractured skull.

Day 187.10

Webb explains how these murders are related to his ongoing investigation into the Awan brothers. He does not tie the Awan brothers to the murders of the young girls but he says that training received at the Islamic Society of North America, in Plainfield Indiana, trains Muslims in hand-to-hand combat in weekend workshops. He sites the Christian Action Network as the source of this information. It is claimed that garroting techniques and training has been provided to participants.
