I have read some about the pizzagate scandal and it is extremely sickening! This is a true story from last night:

I have a 5 year old daughter and was at her elementary school valentines dance last night. She was having fun and playing with her classmates. The seating was limited and I had reserved my seat and the once next to me where I put our jackets. At a break in the music they all came over to sit and get a drink of water. I moved the coats for some of the girls to sit and had my daughter in my lap. There was still one girl left standing without a seat.

In their innocence and trust, she asked if she could sit on my other knee and in my lap. I told her no that she could not sit on my lap. My daughter pleaded, "Daddy, please?? She doesn't have a seat and you have another knee!"

I repeated again, "NO. I am not holding anyone else's kid in my lap! Little girls are not supposed to sit in men's laps."

They finished their dancing break and went back to the dance floor. I turned to one of the mothers sitting next to me and told her what had happened. She kinda nervously laughed at it, not really sure how to respond. I told her, "I am not letting anyone else's kid sit in my lap. I know if I were to walk over and see my 5 year old sitting in another man's lap I would absolutely loose it in the middle of God and everybody in here! There are things you cannot get too complacent about, one of them is touching little girls. There are way too many weirdos out there that I could not trust that it was an innocent mistake that a grown man was holding my daughter in his lap!"

I was saying this to her with tears in my eyes. When my wife got home later in the night (she is a school teacher there at the school and was working the photo booth) I retold the story to her and again got teared up while telling it.

My advice to men is do not allow yourself to fall into trouble. Please think of these things. To the fathers and mothers out there, please teach your children that it is not ok to sit in other's laps (sorry to say but especially other men). Not teaching them this is setting them up for a world of potential distress....
