Socialism vs. Anarchism: A Peaceful Means to Social Cooperation

in #peace8 years ago (edited)

The strategies that are applied as a means toward an idea can say a lot about the idea.

For example, Socialism vs. Anarchism:

Socialist/Communist philosophy and strategies used as a means to their ideal of a peaceful, cooperative society:

increasing  and empowering big government, forcing ideas/morals/tolls on others  involuntarily (for the 'better good'), voting, more laws, 'free' stuff, collectivism, petitioning, protesting, college kids whining violently (okay.. maybe that's not inherent of socialism, but I honestly can't tell anymore), distributing all of the power to ONE group with the idea it will distribute the wealth equally among individuals, thinking distributing wealth equally is the solution (even if it involves  stealing from others) to oppression, sacrificing the rights of the  individual for the good of society

Anarchist/Libertarian philosophy and strategies used as a means to their ideal of a peaceful, cooperative society:

voluntary exchanges, using alternative currencies, agorism, self-sustainability,  empowering the individual, education, free markets, the non-aggression  principle, the decentralization of power, counter-economics, entrepreneurship, individualism, making irrelevant the largest, needless  source of legitimized violence (the State) while creating new  alternatives, against all actions of violence and coercion, values liberty above all

Am I  too biased, or does it seem EVERYTHING that is a means to socialism  (which is really a means to communism) depends on violence and force  (and passively ineffective strategies)? Doesn't that say something interesting about this system of government itself?

How in the world could such a violent system be used for a productive society, let alone a peaceful cooperation among individuals? Because it gives us "free" stuff?

Yet... as a  free-market loving anarchist, you call me the destructive one?! While the anarchist movement has it's fair share of flaws (mainly infighting), at least the intended strategies by the individuals are effectively nonviolent and productive... and much more creative.

If you find this idea interesting, I would love to hear your feedback (whether you agree or not) and would appreciate any upvote or resteem.

Cheers! :)
