PRAYER TO ENDURE HARDSHIP IN ISRAEL TODAY

PSALM 122:6-7

In these troubled times, we come before you with heavy hearts, seeking your divine comfort and guidance. We lift up the people of Israel, who are facing a senseless and devastating attack. We pray for your hand of protection to cover them, for your peace to descend upon their land, and for a swift end to this violence.

Lord, we grieve for the lives that have been lost, for the innocent civilians caught in the midst of this conflict. We ask for your loving embrace to surround their families and loved ones, offering them solace in their pain and sorrow. We know that you are a God of compassion and mercy, and we trust in your plan even when it is hard to understand.

As the psalmist wrote, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May those who love you be secure. May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.'" (Psalm 122:6-7) We echo this prayer, Lord, and ask that you bring about a lasting peace that will safeguard the lives and well-being of all who call this land home.

In Jesus' name, we pray for an end to this conflict and for reconciliation among those involved. We believe in your power to transform hearts and bring about healing. Amen.
