New Covid-19 Cases Increase, South Korean High School Students Affected
As of Thursday, November 19, 2020, South Korea will start a period of preventing the spread of the corona virus for the next two weeks. This step was taken after the daily Covid-19 cases in the State of Gingseng skyrocketed.
With this decision, around 500 thousand high school students who will enter the exam on December 3 will be affected. South Korea's Ministry of Education is calling on all schools across the country to return to online learning a week before final exams are held.
Not only that, the South Korean Ministry of Education will also temporarily publish the names of learning schools and cafes that were once a cluster of the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.
As a precaution, the Ministry of Education has “ordered” 120 beds in 29 health facilities which will be intended for students who have contracted Covid-10 ahead of the final exams.
For students who are in self-quarantine, including those who have had contact with Covid-19 patients, the South Korean Ministry of Education has prepared at least 113 test centers and 754 individual test centers, all of which are expected to accommodate 3,800 students.

The ministry assured that it would not publish the number of high school students who had contracted Covid-19 so as not to make other healthy students worried. South Korean Education Minister Park Neung-hoo said South Korea was at a critical crossroads from another major outbreak.
The South Korean Disease Prevention and Control Agency reported 343 new coronavirus cases as of Wednesday night, November 18, 2020. That way, a total of 29,654 cases of the coronavirus in the country, of which 498 patients ended in death.
In the last five days, the daily cases of Covid-19 have been positive for over 200 cases. The highest was on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, where new cases of the corona virus surpassed 300 for the first time since August 2020.
