Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, looks washed out as he speaks during a press conference about the results of the US election in Washington on Thursday.

A black liquid that looked like hair dye started rolling down Rudy Giuliani's cheeks as he spoke to reporters in Washington DC.

The 76-year-old wiped his eyebrows with a handkerchief, but was unaware of the black liquid dripping on his cheeks as he spoke at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee.

Just as Giuliani started receiving questions from journalists, a dark stream of liquid started to wet his face, even as he asked the reporters present not to take his claims lightly, the evidence of which he had not yet conveyed.

Giuliani used the press conference to reiterate the baseless claim that Joe Biden's victory was due to electoral fraud.

"The most important thing here is that this has been a massive attack on the integrity of the voting system in the world's largest democracy," said Giuliani as quoted by Sky News, November 20, 2020.

Many online commentators assume that Giuliani is a victim of bad hair dye. But some Manhattan hairstylists say that what dripped down the president's attorney's face was most likely not hair dye.

"Hair dye doesn't drip like that, unless it's just applied," David Kholdorov of Men's Lounge Barbershop and Spa, on Manhattan's Upper East Side, told the New York Times.

He explains that hair dye is usually mixed with peroxide during the coloring process, and once the solution is oxidized, the color will stick to the hair. Nobody is going to leave a solution in its raw form, says David, because the solution will irritate the scalp and can burn hair or cause it to fall out.

Even with smudged hair dyes, Giuliani and Trump's allies insist they have evidence of mass and coordinated fraud in the US election even though they do not provide the evidence that is claimed.

Quoted in Vanity Fair, he later claimed that more than 600,000 ballots in Pennsylvania were not audited, making them "null and void". However, this accusation is false.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito said the polls that arrived in Pennsylvania after 8 p.m. were not allowed to open. Another of Giuliani's claims that the vote is not yet certified in Wayne County, Michigan. This accusation is also false.

The hair dye incident provided another opportunity for Rudy Giuliani's critics to ridicule him.

Social media users suspect Giuliani dyed her hair moments before the press conference, quoted by USA Today.

A live broadcast showed Giuliani leaving the podium about 38 minutes after a press conference at the headquarters of the Republican National Committee which lasted a total of about 90 minutes. When she returned about 20 minutes later, dark liquid could be seen dripping down both sides of her face from the edge of her hairline.

This is not the first time President Donald Trump's personal attorney has drawn attention for his messy appearance. USA Today reported earlier this month that Giuliani appeared in a bizarre internet video, in which he falsely claimed the presidential election was stolen and banged on the table with his hands smeared with ink.

Sky News also reported that the former New York mayor held a press conference on November 7 opposite the crematorium and next to a sex shop located in a small business area called Four Seasons Total Landscaping.

The event was held at garage doors and company parking lots to discuss the status of Trump's campaign lawsuit against the vote counting process in the state of Pennsylvania.

Controversial video footage also emerged days before the US election, which shows Giuliani in a hotel room with the 24-year-old actress during a fake interview for the new Borat film.

In the film, he is seen lying on a bed in a room in New York, hands on his pants.

The scene was filmed in July and led Giuliani to call the police, who decided not to pursue the matter.

In a tweet, Rudy Giuliani said the video was fabricated and argued that he only tidied his shirt into his pants after removing the recording equipment.
