PCHAIN (PAI) Weekly Progress Report (2018/07/02–2018/07/08)

Welcome to PCHAIN weekly report.
To keep the community updated, we summarize our latest progress and activities of the PCHAIN project here.

A. Development Progress
The team keeps improving the consensus mechanism. A few major improvements include:

1. mining with 30 nodes across continents based on new consensus algorithm, tx packaged and blocks generated successfully.
2. child chain created and block generated successfuly with new creation standard.
3. adjust the structure between consensus module and other parts.
4. performance has been improved 3 times with new test schemes; keep system optimization.
5. keep improving internal auto-test framework.

Good news:
On July 6, PCHAIN successfully completed the intercontinental consensus test, Asia, Singapore, Europe, Germany and the Americas Silicon Valley.

First, the significance of transcontinental is to simulate the real network environment. PCHAIN should be built by nodes from all over the world, so that the network environment between nodes is different. However, the quality of network has an important influence on whether PDBFT mechanism of PCHAIN can reach consensus and whether blocks can be generated. The 30 cross-continent nodes of PCHAIN can reach consensus, which means that when PCHAIN is officially launched, all nodes can guarantee the normal operation of PCHAIN and provide stable services to the outside world. Secondly, at present, most of the algorithms that can be implemented across continents are POW classes, while PDBFT, which was invented by PCHAIN, is the first PBFT class algorithm that can span continents.

**B. Exchanges *
PCHAIN（PAI）has been officially listed on FCoin at about 16:00 on July 7.
FCoin is the world’s first transparent digital asset trading platform with assets.

C. Conferences and Talks
On July 7, Dr. Feng Cao participated in the panel discussion about the challenges and opportunities of the public chain in 2018 BLOCKCHAIN ECONOMIC SUMMIT. He shared a wonderful speech on the technology development and application of blockchain on this summit.
