Story and Characters
The story takes place during the mid-18th century and follows Shay Patrick Cormac's transformation from a loyal Assassin into a dedicated Templar. After witnessing the devastating consequences of an Assassin mission, Shay begins questioning the Brotherhood’s methods and eventually defects to the Templars.

The narrative does an excellent job of humanizing both factions, showing that neither side is entirely right nor wrong. Fans of the franchise will appreciate connections to Assassin's Creed III and Assassin's Creed Unity, making Rogue an important chapter in the overall Assassin’s Creed timeline.

While Shay may not be as iconic as some previous protagonists, his personal journey is compelling and helps differentiate Rogue from other entries in the series.
