Working from home day 2. SA lockdown day 1

Working from home may sound good and easy.

Buuuuutttt considering SA legendary bad network speeds and connection problems. Problems galore.

Connecting to the works servers vpn has proven difficult. Working on a after effects file whice links every piece of info you have to a file somewhere in the network. Meaning just viewing it means the pc has to download it and view it first.

As you can imagine for a video project this became unbearable. Ive since tried packaging the work and bringing it all to my local drive... a total file size of 4gb has been going now for 2 hours...

So basically something that took me 3 hours now takes me 6..... need to find some solutions to this.
