Running Wild Paint by Number Update

in #pbn7 years ago (edited)

I've been working on this for nearly a week and decided to post another update.

I was a little skeptical when I first opened the box because the paint colours were mostly dark greens and shades of brown.

I think my plan to complete one small section at a time is a good one. I won't be spending hours at the end trying to fill in tiny spaces that I missed.

It's coming along, slowly. My plan is to do the fox last

Thanks for looking!
I'm hoping to see some new Paint by Number projects posted here soon.
I feel like I'm all alone in my #pbn world! 😄

This is a really cool tag creation! @anise :-)
I'm eager to go to town tomorrow and check out
our hobby store for a pretty pbn!

Oh that's great @shasta! I hope they have some. It's such a great way to pass the time when it's too cold to spend much time outdoors. Looking forward to what you decide on 😀👍

That looks super complicated. I don't think I'd have the patience. You're doing a fantastic job. I can't wait to see more!

Thanks! It's not so complicated, but it does require patience and a steady hand. I enjoy this type of thing....kinda like crocheting lace...maybe I was a watchmaker in a past life!

Excellent start, looks like the painted part want to jump off the screen!
Looking forward to seeing the next installments 🤓

Thank you! That means a lot coming from an artist! 😀

Very cool! I used to love paint by numbers when I was a child. They weren't as complex as this one back then though. :) Definitely one of the things that made me paint more. I'd love to see the final result of this!

Thanks! I also tried it when I was young and the paints were oil based and smelled terrible! I like the acrylic paints much better.

Great! I've always wanted to try painting by numbers)

No time like the present! And you can post your progress here 😀

It's looking super and great that you started on the left (assuming you're right-handed) so you won't end up smudging your work with your hand as you paint. However, maybe that will cause problems if you leave the fox until last? Just going by my experience of smearing my ink when I draw diagrams or write notes in a visual map. :)

Thanks for your comment. The acrylic paint dries in about 15 minutes so smearing isn't too much of a problem....although I admit, it has happened on occasion. I wanted to save the fox until last to keep me motivated....you know, like "saving the best for last". 😀

Totally know that philosophy :D I frequently make lists of the next books I'm planning to read and always save the ones I think I will enjoy most for last.

Nice post.I respect you very much because you contribute to steemit.I will do activities like you.I would like to extend the steemit.
