I am watching you!

Dear @aloha-creations,

I was so inspired with your unicorn earrings!
And so, I made these:

They were made from modeling clay- the one that does not harden or commonly sold in bookstores and toy stores here.

Well, I have to admit that your animal accessories are simply too cute not to notice and, your added bonus "tutorial" in the end would truly inspire crafters and aspiring ones to continue in their creative journey.

Well, for curiosity's sake, I used toothpick instead of wires.

And then, I just molded the rest in and started on creating details.

In case you're wondering, I do have my very own basic sculpting tools. But, I do not often get the chance to create a lot of things because, I am busy. I, however love to use "claying" as a recreational activity especially when I had been stressed or recently been busy.

I reinterpreted the way you created the mane. Instead of the standard "snake," clay, I decided to do this first.

I then made a "mini zigzag."

And when I was done, it looked like this.

I then cut it in half.

And the end result looked like these:

I made two. This is my first attempt.

I was so fascinated with my very own version of "mane" that I cannot really stop taking pictures of it. Of course, I made the tails extra long and curly because, in my mind, horses have this magnificent, beautiful and magical manes.

I understand that probably, this is your bread and butter. But I want to make it clear to you and to everyone else that I do not have any intention of pushing through this business.

For one, I do not have the luxury of time to be creative.

And, I prefer reading books and writing.

But still, its nice to know that somewhere, I do have a talent besides using words.

So here's how it looks like facing upfront.

I would have done it with more detail but, I do not want to stray away from your work. So here are the two ponies?horses?horsies?copycat horsies? Whatever you wanted to call them- I haven't given them any names yet.

I hope that this would inspire you to create more things in the future because, I am watching you.

Okay. That is seriously scary. Let me try again. I AM FOLLOWING YOU!

Omg they are very cute!!! I love the color ideas😍. Im so happy that my work inspired you🦄💜

So cute and creative!
They inspired me to give them a whirl except I'm thinking more of using the modeling clay and making animals for making illustrations for children's books with my granddaughter, she love's that kind of stuff!

Kids love animal figurines! Well, let me rephrase that: everyone loves cute animal figurines! What type of kids illustration books do you make?

We made just a short story book for younger kids that we published on Amazon "Afraid? Not Me! How I Came to Love My School and the People In It"
We made a video book with her play dough martian figurine and a miniature penguin using power point.
Now we are working on a book "Wild Animal Adventures in My Yard!!!" using photos we took of her miniature plastic animals in different scenes in the garden. Lots of fun!

I will be looking up on those books! Have I ever told you that looking through colorful books with illustrations is very much relaxing? I enjoy kid's books because there's always the element of love, wonder and magic though.

Sup Dork! Enjoy the upvote!!!

Really cool @nurseanne84, Now I wonder what things you can't do? you cook, you write, you read, your nurse, you accept the challenge and yet.. you post it on steemit and share it with us. your ponies are cute.. by the way, do you know that there's a special horse in the world that really has pretty mane and their colour is Silver and Gold?

Honestly, I did not know about it @cicisaja. Imagine if all I would be warbling about is nursing, how difficult and stressful it is or, it would be on the otherside of the equation. As much as possible, I wanted to share an authentic experience. I do not want to write something that is like in the movies- all beautiful and perfect.

Thank you for appreciating my ponies. They are made from modeling clay- the one kids use at school and, it will not harden. There are many things still that I cannot do but, I try to compensate by learning something new everyday....hehehehe

still.. I don't have a clue how to handle such tiny things in my hand.. I think I'd make so many ball rather than a ponies with the clay..LOL. this is a nice way to stay away from hectic day on the clinic right?

Yes.And a great way to destress.hehehe anyone can do it....even you.If you cannot manage it on tiny scalr, make it as big as you can comfortably can because, this is an inexpensive medium.hehehehe

OMG, they are so cool, @nurseanne84! I wish I had such creative talents. Unfortunately, I haven't - but I do enjoy seeing how others are able to create such beautiful things.

thank you @simplymike. Let's just say that, I was able to create and post them because of your support. Thank you!

I should thank you for doing something constructive with it :0)
