I would suggest splitting the voting power and giving 5 upvotes a day to people in the pay it forward contest. You want and need these folks to upvote this page as often as possible and share it. It will grow faster than simply upvoting in this manner. You already have a base for visitors in the contest.
50/50 is more realistic to what will happen as I can't help but to upvote others. It has been suggested to me a few times that I should target 100% self vote until the contests start. The biggest issue is the votes are dust so unless someone uses Dust Sweeper the votes will be wasted.
So I still can upvote from my main account to those who comment here and that will actually pay out vs the .002 cent vote give or take that PIFC has right now. Either way doesn't make much difference as 1 extra upvote from someone equal to the voting power you have probably is equal to 4 weeks of self voting for pifc...lol.
