How to turn your Steemit blog content into $3,000 to $5,000 a month passive income! (Part 1)

At the time of writing this, I am still what is referred to a minnow here on Steemit. My goal is to grow with this incredible platform and help all the wonderful people I am connecting with and those I will connect with in the future.

As I am making my own transition from employee to entrepreneur I would like to share some of the ways I am adding additional income streams.

Remember: Change + Mindset = Freedom

One of these ways is creating niche blog sites in other areas that I am passionate about. I even signed up for a course that is designed to teach you exactly how to do this. They are showing me how to come up with a domain name and why the right hosting company is important.

The goal of setting up 2 niche sites is a long-term goal. It is not a get rich overnight while jetting off to live on the beach and drive an exotic supercar. It is, however, a systematic approach to building your niche sites with long word articles that are keyword rich and optimized for Goggle.

The idea is once you have the content done, you wait a few months and at the 5-7 month rate you start to monetize your sites with affiliate links and additional articles. These can be all kinds of affiliate programs. Amazon affiliates is one of them. You are not doing any private blog networks, or other gray or black hat type SEO hacks.

This goes against the popular train of thought but it has been proven to work and is truly a PASSIVE INCOME generator after the 12-month mark. Then by planting the seeds now, you will be able to have a continual harvest of $3,000 to $5,000 USD a month!

In the USA where I live it is becoming harder and harder to live on and take care of a family with $3,000 -$5,000 a month. But in other parts of the world, this is a retire live life on the beach amount.

It does not matter where you live, just about any one can do this. The hardest parts are to take the time in the beginning with little to no reward. I know we are all programmed for that instant gratification.

This method is not that.

If you have the forethought to do the work now you can be in a good place down the road. You might be able to even launch your niche sites now with the content you have here on Steemit.

Ok if your blogging on Steemit is about a specific niche and you have long word articles, by that I mean very minimum 1,200 words. You will need 20 articles of 1,500 – 2,500 words and 10 pillar articles of 3,000 – 5,000 words per site. Remember it is not easy but this is set up so the Google crawlers will find your content and rank it higher than those other sites with poorer quality content.

(Pro Tip: You can embed a video in the article that talks about the article and it will rank faster and higher.)

Now I should answer a question that some might be having about the $3,000 to $5,000 usd a month amount. Yes and yes!

What? Ok for those who can’t read my mind or others. Yes as I mentioned the monthly amounts are for the 2 niche sites. So depending on how well of a job you do monetizing your 2 niche sites you could be generating $1,500 - $2,500 per niche site per month.

What’s the other yes for? If you stay on top of your monetization and you are able to add some higher ticket items you can also make $3,000 to $5,000+ a month on each site!

That is the great thing about your Steemit account. Many of you already have this type of content and can set it up now!

You can use one hosting company for both of your niche sites or separate them and put one on each different hosting service.

I earn more if you put them on one site but I recommend putting one on each hosting service for security and SEO reasons.

First by keeping them separate you reduce your risk of getting both sites hacked. Not really an issue, in the beginning, but remember we are doing this for the long term goal not just for now.

Second by keeping them separate you also reduce the risk of having your site partitioned off near a spammer type or similar. Google looks for and penalizes these sites all the time and if your ipo address is close to them you could get dinged as well killing your ranking and traffic over night.

This can be fixed but takes time. So better to be safe and have one site still providing you with income than to have them both grind to a halt. Forcing you to go into panic mode, and possible kill your entire income stream from these sites while you fix the issue.
