Driving, fishing, hunting, agreeing to build your neighbors fence for cash, sell products to your neighbor from a store, operate any type of business, collect and give money to the poor, build your own house, cut down timber on your own land, dig a well, install a septic system, install a solar system on your house, grow and sell food without pesticides, accept money for transporting people, hire a friend and provide workers comp insurance, cut hair, offer marriage counseling, offer legal advice, offer care to the elderly.

That's a very short list. Our various governments from cities to counties, to states to the federal government require you to get their permission and pay them money for the privilege of doing any of the above.
