It another new week with new learning challenges. Time is really flying, we now reached season 21 week 6 of steemit learning challenge. After digesting my teacher's explanations on how to make a flan, I was motivated to submit my homework task for the week. Please read my opinions below.

Have you ever made flan at home? Tell us about your experience.

Today was my first time of trying it out and it was a great experience to have,..never before... making flan. I'm a first time learner on how to make flan and of course my first time of learning how to make anything that is accompanied with pastry making. Therefore, I do not have any experience before as said earlier but then from the beginning of this learning challenge contest, I have experience how to make different things and I 'm extremely curious to learn more.

My first experience with this one was super amazing as I was able to successfully achieved making a Flan. I always feel better anytime I tried new things and I am also very careful to learn and carry out practical exactly as I was taught for accomplishment.

Make a flan, you can follow the recipe given in the course or if you have another one that you have prepared you can share it, detailing utensils, ingredients and step by step.

Milk and
Condensed milk
Vanilla flavour

A mold ( a smaller pot as I didn’t have a mold)

My Procedures:

In preparation of my caramel, I started by washing all the utensils and then turned in the required quantity sugar in the mould and heat it up to caramelize. When my caramel was set, I ensured it was evenly spread in the mold and set it aside to cool.

In my bigger pot, I poured water and put it on the heat to heat up while I proceeded the preparation of the main flan .

I poured my condensed milk and milk into a blender.

It was the right time to add a teaspoon of vanilla and egg and blended properly.

I gently poured the mixture into the mould and put it on the Bain- Marie and cover it to be cooked over high heat.

I allowed on a cooker for about 45 minutes. After that I use a toothpick and insert,it was not dry . I allow for few minutes.

Did you have any difficulty in making your flan?

I did not experience any difficulties because I followed my teacher's instruction on how to do it tactfully.

To make new things, it is advisable to abide by the rules and instructions given. Using the same measurements will help attend to a pleasing results.

Do you have any special tips for making flan? Share them.

All items should be cleaned and Egg, milk, cream should be at the room temperature. I realised that another preparation requires over mixing but make flan don't require that.

When caramelizing sugar, it should be in a medium heat to avoid burning. It is advisable to use fresh and quality ingredients like egg and real vanilla extract. It should not be overcooked,, 45minutes is enough.

My advice is to always take the flan out when you insert the stick and it will come out dry and DO NOT UNMOLD WHILE HOT.

She is a steem representative who is always available for newbies and trained many users. She is an excellent chef who cooks for her family and also for commercial purposes.

She is a beautiful friend to have, her support and encouragement help me to grow in steemit platform. With all I know about her she will be excited if I share this desert with her.

Seguiste muy bien las instrucciones del paso a paso que compartimos y lo sustentaste con hermosas fotografías. Me gusta el color de tu quesillo y se ve cremoso. Tienes razón cuando preparamos algo por primera vez debemos seguir las instrucciones y los ingredientes que nos dice la receta.

El flan es muy sencillo de preparar creo que donde hay mayor dificultad es en el caramelo, debemos estar pendiente que no se queme porque el sabor no es agradable y a la hora de desmoldar hacerlo cuando este frió del resto todo lo demás es fácil.

Estoy segura que @eliany estará feliz de compartir contigo tu delicioso quesillo.
