Weekend Getaway: Flannel Celebration

If you already have booked a winter weekend getaway for maybe a Birthday or Weekend away with friends and family a flannel theme is perfect for your trip. A weekend getaway with your favorite people is the perfect way to start this Celebration off. Imagine spending the weekend in a warm cozy cabin full of your favorites and maybe doing activities in the local area or just staying cozy. Flannel Celebration at Home

If your looking to plan a Birthday, maybe a wine night, dinner party with friends or just host a get together at your home. Planning a Flannel Celebration is super fun, you can set the tone of your celebration by creating a lumberjack theme, or a flannels and handles celebration which handles can either be mustaches or handles like Moscow mules totally up to you. Have your guests show up in Flannel attire to really make this Celebration.

Flannel Party Decor

You can choose any color of flannel to set the tone of your Celebration, but I find that you will be in better luck with going Buffalo Plaid, like below or mix and match with an array of flannel.

Set the Mood of your getaway or home with the feel of warmth, coziness and flannel.
Set your tables, buffets, beverage area and your home with a bit of coziness. You can use flannel fabric that you find at your local fabric store to create a table liner or use as a table cloth. Reuse old flannels that you have hanging in your closet cut them up and you can create liners for serving bowls, dress up a serving tray, cut your flannels into long strips and wrap around candle jars. Use flannel ribbon and a hot glue gun and recreate a party piece that you already have in your home, like take an old picture frame and take it apart. Wrap the outside frame with your flannel ribbon, print out a fun saying that you want to display like Flannels & Handles and frame this in your new flannel frame. While you are shopping at your favorite craft store, head on over to the scrapbook paper section and pick up some cute flannel/plaid inspired paper. You can create your own party banners or use around your beverage and food areas to set the tone. Flannel throw blankets are fantastic to use as well for your food or bar areas. Also a fantastic idea to have them ready for your guests if they lounge on your comfy couch. If your into thrift shoppin, like I am look for old Holiday Décor that has a flannel print and if you are super lucky you might find some ol school plaid thermoses that would work perfect for a vase. Go check out your Grandmas home, you never know what treasures she might have. Ask your friends for party pieces to borrow. You never have to spend a lot of money to create a party scene, just get creative.

Have your guests where Flannel Attire or provide them with a custom flannel just for attending your Celebration.
By getting your guests in the mood to Flannel is the best part. It's always fun to see what types of outfits people come up with. You might have moments like " how do you think that's flannel?" It's lots of fun. You can find flannel dresses, flannel inspired t shirts and my favorite flannel Pj's.
