CLEAVE STEADFASTLY TO ME

Following Jesus as long as this world is concern is not a bed of roses, it is full of ruffles, conflicts, trails, temptation and challenges from all areas of life, from within and without. That is why there is a need to cleave steadfastly to Him. Leave no space between you and Jesus, let every contrary wind that blows on you blow you together with Him. It also involves your leaving every other thing to cleave to Him.

Do not follow Jesus from afar otherwise the world system will put you asunder from Him and occupy that space between you and Him. Then you will neither be cold nor hot but lukewarm and the Lord will vomit you out of His mouth.

“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth.” Rev. 3:15-16

CONFORM WHOLLY TO MY EXAMPLE

Conforming is to convert something from its original shape to a new shape entirely. It requires passing through certain process which may not be pleasant to undergo before taking a new shape.
Following Jesus is not hereditary. It is not family business.

It is an individual matter to take the decision to unlearning all that he has learnt in the world as a natural man. Now that you are a new creation man, for you to be wholly conformed to Christ example, you must put away every other example you have seen in men, you have read in books, seen in films or heard from men around you in the world and diligently focus only on Jesus.

This new life of Christ requires your close examination of the scripture to discern how He lived His life as touching every aspect of life and start living exactly the way He lived. Always remember that Christ is now living in you to live out His life through you.
