Is Steem solely a social network?
Hi,
I've seen some days ago a discussion about Steem. Some people have been talking about what is really Steem. A social network or something more.
Some said that it should be a social network, others said it is more than that and it evolves.
Some complained about the low engagement, which I'm also guilty of and some others said that it is not only about that.
Some said it can be use as a base chain for many applications with potential besides the social network aspect of it.
The truth is, the more user there are, the less the engagement will be. This is due to the fact that most one will miss the ones whom he interacts often because of other people posting. If you would get only the ones who post from your near circle the new ones would not get any chance of being seen.
I think Steem is a lot more than a social network. It evolves. I see it as a multi use platform where so many applications can strive.
