Hey #steemit / @partiko peeps ✌🏾For those who have been following this page know I try to buy my new vinyl only when I have a coupon from Barnes and Noble. This was no exception.
So, I had seen Ghost in the Machine (The Police) several times - I just could not bring myself to pay $40 (US) for it. I think I must have eyeballed this album on at least 4 separate occasions. 😆
I Finally got one of the 20% off coupons (plus the 10% off you get as a member) ...of course I could now justify buying it lol. 😊
It it a new 180gm vinyl mastered at Abbey Road at 1/2 speed. I would imagine that is probably why this this was so expensive.
I do love my vinyl though. I had to do the same with a Led Zeppelin record ...I’ll save that for another blog.

Interesting to read about the half speed mastering. I would be curious to hear how much of a difference that makes on a good stereo system.

Cool. In Los Angeles we have Amoeba, they still sell cassettes too. :-)
Nice! Didn't know about this remasters technique at Abbey Road Studios. I'll check which other vinyls have been remastered this way!

I will send you the vinyl adress of my brother, he has loads of vinyl.... Pick one out and I will send it over, on me of course, then we will see it on steemit in a blink ;)
