Few exchanges closed down recently due Hacks, Scams and other reasons.

  • Cryptopia is still in maintenance.
  • QuadrigaCX in maintenance also.
  • Liqui annouced they are shutting down.

This should teach us a big lesson!!! Don't keep all your capital on one single exchange for which you don't own any private keys.

You never know when you will see your money again if stuff like this happens. Binance might sound safer than others but still... BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY! The perfect example is Mt.Gox Hack!!! So just for your safety make sure you keep your money in a safe spot... If you HOLD any coin for the long term, make sure they are stored in COLD wallet (and Coinbase is not a cold wallet... if you have money on Coinbase and tomorrow they disappear, you don't own any keys so....... just saying).

And...use 2FA authenticator on every single exchange, bank, account you use if they have it... even your Gmail has 2FA authenticator if you are not aware of it. Protect your EMAIL! Protect your PC! Protect your PHONE! Hackers are all over the place and they can get you.
