Describe your front door -5minutefreewrite
The number is dingy. The green paint, dull green like a forest covered in dust, shows its undercoat of white like a hip youngster who does need to worry that the cuffs of his jeans are tattered.
Around the dingy number a ribbon keeps a pillow from tumbling to the ground. "Ho ho ho" says the red pillow, and its bells jingle jangle when you shove it closed.
No. I'm remembering an old door. One you had to shove. This door is made of the same wood and paint, but less of it. This door doesn't scrape along the ground. This door has forgotten its humble origins as a frustrating door.
This door feels young again, but there's something missing.
