The myth says that goddess Afrodite was in love with a very handsome young man ,Adones. When he died and went down to the underworld Persephone got in love with him too.
Afrodite started crying and her tears drops these red flowers were growing!

I like this flower. We have some here in Ukraine, they are mostly wildflowers. But you can see beautiful poppies in some gardens
It has the red of passion! Here you can see it only as a wildflower only in this season.
