There is HOPE
For 5 long days, nobody participated in the contest that I am running, which encourages engagement between us in the community. In all honesty, I am losing hope. Maybe Steemit Community is beyond saving.
But then again, early this morning, Philippine time, I received a notification that someone mentioned me. To my surprise, somebody submitted an entry. I was elated. Even with one participant, this Proof of Engagement will carry on.
There is still hope left for me.
Then after a few minutes, I received a message informing me that my post was picked for his/her daily initiative.
That word again. INITIATIVE. That's what I am looking for. Initiate a conversation. Initiate a vote. It would be a wonderful platform to be a part with!

Oh, that makes me a little sad! I had no idea and the thing is, I love engagement! You know that! The way these notifications are recieve in the feed is pretty terrible. I miss so many and I get so many with the gina bot, I cannot track them all down in the time I have on the computer.
Now, I will go back and see if it is possible to do it or if it will take more time than I have today. I know you don't believe it, but, I am stll commenting on MarketFriday! But, I am not complaining!

Well, they are dreaming. Or dreamed. Many of them already left Steemit and the Steem blockchain. Let's admit it. Even diamonds are not forever. Some people believe that they do, but they do not. Diamonds are degrade to graphite. Just like Steem. Well, not to graphite, but something else. Something... Less useful.
You can have hope, but it is obvious that the number of the daily active users on the Steem blockchain is decreasing since the December of 2017, which is more than two years. Almost three. And the real human comments are rare on the Steem blockchain.
There were 54 777 posts created on the Steem blockchain in the third week of 2020, but the average number of comments is only 3.31. If we take a look at blog posts, then we can see that most of these comments are bot (or spam-like) comments. Sad. This is only increasing the number of the leaving daily active users.
The main reason behind the leaving users is the attitude and the behavior of the majority of the Steem blockchain users. They are focusing on making money in a selfish way. Most of the Steem blockchain users are not using the platform naturally, as they are using Facebook, Twitter and any other social media. Most of the Steem blockchain users are focusing only on their own blog posts, but they do not care about other people's blog posts. The selfishness and the greed of the most of the users are ruining the Steem blockchain.
I have to agree on that @xplosive. So, we have to be together to do something on this platform. As I have promised to myself, I will not lose hope, and continue posting here as long as my friends would stay here. They are the ones who are making me stay anyway. 😊
