Poha - Paneer Kheer
Hi Friends... It's Festival time here in India, since last few days!
We just celebrated Krishna Janmashtami few days ago and next Monday is the Ganesha Festival.
So here I am with a easy and quick recipe for the preparation of a Kheer or Payasam, using Poha(beaten rice, the thick one) and Paneer, which can be made in 10 to 15 minutes and tastes great too!!
Ingredients :
Poha (Thick) - 1cup.
Paneer(cut into small pieces) - 1cup
Milk or Coconut milk - 2cups.
JAGGERY -2 Table spoon
Ghee - 1 Table spoon
Rice powder - 1 table spoon.
Dry fruits, cardamom powder.
A pinch of salt (optional)
Method of preparation :
Soak poha in water for one hour, drain excess water.
Heat ghee in a Thick bottom pan and fry the Paneer on low flame for one minute, add soaked poha stir well and keep aside.
Now in another vessel take the jaggery and add one cup of water and heat it till the jaggery melts and it starts boiling. Now add the rice powder little by little and the Poha - Paneer and keep stirring until it comes to boil again. Add milk or Coconut milk. Add roasted dry fruits, pinch of salt for taste and cardamom powder.
Wow!! The yummy tasty Poha - Paneer Kheer is ready to serve!
Can be served chilled, which tastes even better!...
With much love and regards, @geetharao...

An easy and quick recipe, I like it!
Looks yummy, though I have been on resolution of having sweet once in a week. Though it worth a try on Ganesh Chaturthi.
