Ontario gems - Burleigh falls
Burleigh falls
This is the name of a small community in Peterborough county.
There are falls, which are more like strong rapids which form the border between North Kawartha and Selwyn.
The cascade is the flow of water between Lovesick Lake and Lower Buckhorn Lake in the west and Stoney Lake in the east.
Much of the water flow is controlled by a control dam to regulate the water on Lovesick Lake to keep it navigable for larger boats and also to operate a lock which is part of the Trent-Severn waterway.
It's again a nice place to see.
